Become a vital link between the community and our Airmen and their families by volunteering with the Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council (MAC). Our volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the men and women of Barksdale Air Force Base, helping them thrive both on and off duty.
Through programs like the Adopt an Airman Program (Roots for Boots), scholarship initiatives, and Celebrate Barksdale community events; MAC volunteers provide mentorship, friendship, and a welcoming environment for Airmen and their families. Your time and dedication can ease the transition into military life, strengthen family connections, and create lasting bonds between the base and our local community.
Your support directly benefits Airmen and their families, helping them navigate the challenges of military life.
Serve as a positive role model, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear.
Connect with fellow leaders and neighbors who share a commitment to honoring those who serve.
There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing your efforts help shape the lives of America’s Airmen and future leaders.
